Gilles Godart needed a new set of business applications at Verallia subsidiaries and branches in 8 different countries in Europe and Latin America. Some of those were new applications, some were to replace existing workflows, and they needed to be integrated and streamliined into the same platform to enable innovation, agile development and rapid deployment. Further, various applications needed to be intergrated with Verallia's existing SAP, Salesforce, PDH (Osisoft), QlikView, and Talend ESB.
And the users of these applications needed access to them via iPhone, iPad, and desktop & laptop devices in their own languages.
Gilles' team quickly determined that it would be less expensive to develop business processes with Bonita BPM than to develop ABAP workflows in SAP or Salesforce. With its connector capabilities, internationalization and customization features for user interfaces, and responsive design, Bonita BPM proved to be the right tool to create 16 administrative processes in 5 languages across 8 countries. These include applications in HR to create new users and request authorizations, telephones, training, and travel, and applications in Finance to requisition and purchase supplies, request investment, and handle vendor claims.
Today the subsidiaries use the same tools as the parent company. The old workflow tools used in the subsidiaries have been superseded. There is now only one solution for the whole company, which simplifies the overall IT landscape and allows innovation.
