SAN FRANCISCO – February 24, 2014 – Bonitasoft, the fastest-growing provider of business process management (BPM) solutions, today announced continued momentum across all business lines, posting strong increases in revenue, customer acquisition, partnerships and employment for 2013, setting the stage for a great 2014.
Bonitasoft has continued to experience strong growth across a wide array of industries and geographies. Western Europe, Latin America, and North America over performed posting an average of 119% percent revenue growth across the three regions.
The company signed 325 new customers in 2013, bringing the total to more than 875. Growth was particularly strong in software subscriptions, with an 82% growth in subscription revenue for 2013. Now with commercial customers in 72 countries, Bonita BPM Community Edition deployments in 193 countries, and more than 2.75 million downloads worldwide, Bonita BPM is the most widely used BPM solution in the world.
Recent customers include the University of Southern California, Bridgestone (the world's largest tire and rubber company), France TV (French public national television broadcaster), Sony Computer Entertainment (distributor of Playstation products), Contact Solutions (provider of customer service solutions), Litehouse Foods (manufacturer of salad dressings and other foods); Dorel Industries (provider of furniture and children’s products); and Steris (provider of infection prevention and contamination control solutions).
Bonitasoft also generated significant momentum among channel partners. It now has 170 technology and systems integration partners, an 88 percent increase over the total from the end of 2012. New partners added in 2013 include Aegis Identity, eDelta Consulting, OSS Japan, Trebi General Consulting, AIM Services, and Teamlog.
Bonitasoft’s embedded OEM business was impressive this this year as well, more than doubling revenue over 2012.
The company grew its headcount significantly in 2013, adding 36 employees and finishing the year with 140 employees worldwide. The biggest personnel increases came in engineering, sales and customer success, continuing the company’s commitment to innovation and business growth. It announced several important executive hires, adding Jean Luc Solans as Chief Strategy Officer and Olivier Poissonnier as Chief Financial Officer.
Bonitasoft created significant momentum in other areas in 2013. It launched a new version of its flagship product, Bonita BPM 6, featuring a completely rebuilt workflow engine, new web and mobile portals and advanced deployment capabilities, including clustering for high availability.
The company continued its commitment in 2013 to educating diverse industries with complex use cases across many business functions about the benefits of BPM solutions. Bonitasoft hosted 23 face-to-face “Process Efficiency World Tour” gatherings on three continents with Forrester BPM analyst Clay Richardson delivering the keynote at the New York event, presented 68 webinars across six languages, and found significant interest in the company’s new Ultimate Guide to BPMN.
Acceptance of Bonita BPM was reflected in the company’s receipt of industry awards in 2013 including the SIAA CODiE Award for Best Open Source Innovation, a Stevie International Business Award, and an InfoWorld Bossie for Best Open Source Application.
