Bonitasoft, a global leader in business process management (BPM) solutions, is pleased to announce that a critical pharma process built by Bristol-Myers Squibb on its Bonita BPM application platform was a finalist for a prestigious national award for digital transformation for the second time.
In May, the BMS digital transformation project was selected from among 36 entries as a finalist for the Bio-IT World Best Practices Award for 2017. Bio-IT World Best Practices awards highlight outstanding examples of technology innovation in the life sciences.
This is the second recognition that BMS has realized with its Bonita transformation projects; it was also a finalist in March for the 2017 Best Achievement of Operational Excellence in Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences recognition for outstanding organizational achievements through the application of Operational Excellence programs.
Bristol-Myers Squibb’s entry, Digital Transformation of Critical Drug Discovery Research Processes, was based on implementations of Bonita BPM processes in analytical chemistry, vet sciences, histology, biologics, lead optimization, biomarkers, and lab equipment management across R&D.
As a result of the digitization of their paper-based processes, the organization has documented benefits that include reduced errors, increased transparency, access to on-demand live metrics, time savings, and less frustration between groups.
“We are proud of the work that BMS has done using our platform,” said Miguel Valdes Faura, CEO and co-founder of Bonitasoft. “We’ve seen them replicate one application into at least eight more across their R&D organizations. “We are delighted that the IT team at BMS has been recognized for their hard work.”
BMS is also the second organization to achieve a prestigious finalist status recently for its digital transformation with Bonita BPM. Coreso, a European organization responsible for short and long-range power production and transmission flow predictions across national borders, was also named a finalist for the WfMC Global Awards for Excellence in Business Process Management in late 2016.
