Bonita 2021.2: Project composition

Bonita 2021.2 includes a brand-new project composition feature and its new component “Project Composer.”

What is Project Composer?

Bonita projects will use the power of Maven. This means you’ll be able to easily compose your project with extensions (connectors, REST API extensions, themes, and actor filters).

These and other extensions, which are technical components, can be built outside Bonita Studio with our SDK. This will allow developers to use preferred tooling. It will also help the industrialization of projects, and contributes to your efficiency as a development team.

In addition, Bonita Studio has now a dedicated view for extensions. This view is used to get extensions from different sources:

• From the Bonita marketplace, which contains all the actor filters and connectors created and maintained by Bonitasoft
• From the Maven repository (private or public)
• From files (jar or zip) Bonita Studio is more accessible to citizen developers and upgrades are much easier.
